Nepal and Tibet Tour combines sightseeing with adventure and wildlife activities. Nepal is known as the land of Mount Everest and Lord Buddha. In addition to this, it is also the country full of cultural and biological diversity. It is the best place to see the myth mix with reality. Nepal has 10 UNESCO cultural and natural heritage sites, 8 of the 10 highest mountains and the second largest collection of fresh water.

The Tibetan plateau, with an area of 2.5 million sq. km is connected to the south by the 2500 km long Himalayas and to the west by the Karakoram. At an average altitude of 4000 meters, Tibet encompasses some of the highest mountains in the world Mt. Everest (8848 m), the highest peak in the world rises abruptly on the Tibetan-Nepalese border. Four mountains exceed 8,000 meters above sea level and thirty-eight mountains exceed 7,000 meters above sea level.

Once you arrive in Kathmandu, a representative of the Taleju Adventure will pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel. In the afternoon you can rest or visit the office of the Taleju Adventure for a local tea. In the evening, a welcome dinner will be organized by the Taleju Adventure. For dinner, enjoy the authentic Nepalese cuisine. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Today, after breakfast, we begin our tour to some of the most historical and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu, also classified as UNESCO World Heritage. We visit historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath) and the Buddhist Sanctuary (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest stupas in the world. At the evening we got to meet each other in the hotel and discusses our trip for next day. Overnight in Kathmandu.

We take an hour of trans-Himalayan flight to Lhasa, Tibet early in the morning. The flight takes us over Everest (8,848 m), Kanchenjunga (8,536 m) and other peaks and glaciers of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Lhasa, a representative of the Himalayan Glacier will pick you up from the airport. Then we will drive you back to hotel where you are advised to take plenty of rest to minimize altitude sickness. Night in Lhasa.

We visit today the magnificent palace built in the seventeenth century after early morning breakfast. The palace offers a breath-taking view of the entire city and houses the Dalai Lama's private rooms, many large halls, and chapels. The Sera Monastery is a preserved monastery with whitewashed walls and golden roofs. The Jokhang Temple is another important sacred site that reveals deeper mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism. We enter the market of Barkhor Bazaar. With its open-air stalls, shops and pilgrims, it is the nerve center of Lhasa. Night in Lhasa.

After breakfast, we will head to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. We drive along the Khamba La Pass (4,794 m) and admire the view of Yomdrok-Tso (turquoise lake), one of the most sacred lakes in Tibet and the spectacular Mt. Nazin Kang Sa (7252 m). Further west, we find another pass, Karo La (5045 m) from where we have a magnificent view of the majestic glaciers. Upon reaching Gyantse, we visit the Khumbum Stupa, the Phalkot Monastery and Gyantse Dzong (the Fortress), one of the best-preserved dzongs in Tibet. From Gyantse, we continue towards Shigatse enjoying the captivating mountainous landscape on the way. Overnight in Shigatse

After breakfast, we will visit the most popular Shigatse monument, the Tashilhunpo Monastery, which has a historical and cultural significance for its foundation by Gendun Drup, the first Dalai Lama in 1447. Then, we will go to Shegar through Sakya. In Sakya, we visit the Sakya Monastery, which is the ancestral temple of the Sakyapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Today, we also cross the passes of Tso La (4,500 / 14,763 feet) and Gyatso La (5,220 m / 17,125 feet). We arrive in Shegar, a small town around the evening and spent the night there.

From Shegar, we head towards the Everest base camp, which is also one of the highlights of the trip. Reaching the base of the highest mountain in the world is a feat in itself. We spend our time taking pictures and enjoying the magnificent view of the Himalayas with the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest, floating above us. Then we return to Rongbuk and visit the Rongbuk Monastery, the highest monastery in the world. Night in Rongbuk.

Today here first we drive to Zhangmu, an important commercial center between Tibet and Nepal. A few kilometers by car from Zhangmu over the Bhote Koshi River take us to immigration control in Kodari, where we must complete some customs procedures. Then we will go a little further towards our final destination, The Last Resort, to continue with the adventure activity of our choice the next day. When we arrive at the Last Resort, we rest to prepare ourselves better for the activities of the next day. Night in the last resort.

Today, we spend time rappelling, sliding, jumping, climbing and swimming. These are all important aspects of canyoning, our ultimate quest for today. During canyoning, we cross steep cliffs and glide to hammer waterfalls. Feeling the adrenaline buzzing by jumping waterfalls and sliding on smooth rocks will be an incredible experience for all adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. Night at last resort.

This day is reserved for rafting, one of the most popular adventure sports in Nepal. During the rafting, we meet all kinds of rapids not very distant from each other. Fighting these rapids will be a challenge. However, we also occasionally cross quiet sections of the river. Meanwhile, we admire the natural beauty of the surrounding areas. The green vegetation, the curious villagers and the banks of the river are ours to marvel at. After finishing our rafting trip, we return to Kathmandu in the evening and spend the night there.

Our last adventure in Nepal and Tibet ends today. A representative of the Taleju Adventure will accompany us to the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. On the way back, we have plenty of time to plan our next adventure on wonderful country Nepal.
