Chitwan is best known for its culture and wildlife activities. Chitwan means "heart of the jungle", because of its dense forests and wild animals. Chitwan National Park is located in south-central Nepal, only 165 km from Kathmandu and 150 km from Pokhara, which offers many cultural and jungle activities. Such as elephant safari, canoe trip, jungle trek, local ethnicity tour, the cultural dance performed by local tribes, visit sunset, walk in the forest, drive in the jeep, etc. Chitwan could be worth a reward since the place is well accredited for the Chitwan National Park with a total area of 932 km2. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this park is home to a one horn rhino, various types of deer, sloths, leopards, tigers, crocodiles, monkeys and many species of butterflies and endangered insects.
The most amazing feature of Chitwan is the elephant ride that leads to the jungle safari. Another way to explore the jungle is to take a four-wheel jeep. In both cases, tourists can enter the jungle to complete their passion for nature. During this incredible research, visitors can satisfy their eyes with views of many species of birds, such as waterfowl, brahman ducks, pintails, bar-headed geese, cormorants, woodpeckers, hornbills, peacocks, peahens, floricans, red-headed trogons, and many others.
